Red White and Tahoe Blue Community Parade

When: Saturday, July 3 from 10:00am to 11:30am

Where: The parade staging will take place at Grog & Grist for Bikes and Kids and the Elementary School on Southwood for Floats. The parade will continue through town to the IVGID Recreation Center (1.5 miles). View Parade Map.

What: The theme of this year's parade is In the Pursuit of Happiness. If you would like to participate in the parade, please download the Entry Form 2010 and a copy of the Parade Rules 2010or Bike Parade Form and a copy of the There will be prizes for best entries: Committee Trophy-Best Depiction of Life in Incline, Grand Marshal’s Trophy-Creative Concept & Design, Theme Trophy-Most Authentic to the Decade, Judges Choice, Best Vehicle Group Award, Best Walking Group Award and a People's Choice Award. These awards will be presented at 12:30pm at the Community Fair and Barbeque on the Village Green.

Veterans participating in the parade are encouraged to park their cars at St. Patrick’s, the Rec Center or overflow boat parking and utilize the round robin shuttle bus (Diamond Peak Ski Bus and the ADA Van) to the Firehouse Pancake Breakfast.  The first shuttle will start at St. Patrick’s at 7:30am circle to the Rec Center, then to the overflow boat parking lot and on to the Firehouse Pancake Breakfast. The round robin shuttles will continue throughout the morning until the last shuttles return the Vets to the parade start no later than 9:45am.  Shuttles will run at approximately 15 minute intervals. Following the parade, the Diamond Peak trams will drop the Vets off at Aspen Grove at approximately 11:30am for the Veteran's Lunch. The IVGID Senior Transportation ADA Van and Diamond Peak shuttle bus will be available to shuttle Vets back to their cars at Saint Patrick’s after the festivities.

Cost: Group entry fee $35. Parade viewing is free.
